Our Pharmacist's Bio... Alaan Hadaya and Tye McCarthy are the principal pharmacists of Windang Pharmacy and Compounding Centre with over 35 years of community pharmacy experience between them.
Alaan graduated with a Bachelor of Medical Science and a Master of Pharmacy and Pharmacology with qualifications and research in pharmaceutical compounding. His knowledge and training moulded his passion to work in health and to address people's healthcare needs which naturally lead to his career in serving his community through pharmacy and compounding.
Outside of his pharmacy role, Alaan has a passion and love for footy, hiking and outdoor adventures. He holds a directorship appointment with MCCI, a long standing and reputable not-for-profit organisation that operates across the Illawara, the far south coast and ACT. He also holds a board position in the Australian charity AL FUQURA (Helping The Poor), which advocates in supporting the vulnerable and providing food support packages to those in need.
Tye is a true local of the Illawarra. Growing up and schooling locally, he went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Pharmacy. He balances his full time role with raising his young family. Any extra free time he gets, he enjoys local footy and online gaming.
